Ayisha Ballard

Hi, I’m Ayisha Ballard, founder of Veni Care Phlebotomy. I entered the healthcare field in 2006 after earning my Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from Remington College. It didn’t take long for me to discover my passion for phlebotomy—what others may see as a routine task, I see as a vital link in patient care and diagnostics.

How long is the phlebotomy course?Veni Care Phlebotomy provides two different options: Our 8-week course held in-person on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm Our 6-week course held in-person Monday & Tuesday evenings with online classes Wednesday & Thursday

How much is the phlebotomy course?Each phlebotomy course (6-week or 8-week) costs $975. A deposit of $375 is required in order to sign up. Payment plans are available through PayPal.

Can I apply for financial aid?No, Veni Care Phlebotomy does not accept financial aid. However, payment plans for all of our courses are available through PayPal.

Can I transfer credits?No, Veni Care Phlebotomy does not transfer or accept college credits.

Is your school accredited?Yes! Veni Care Phlebotomy is authorized through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) to provide certified healthcare training for students.

How long is the medical assistant course?Our Medical Assistant courses is 16 weeks long (4 months).

What is the difference between patient care technician and medical assistant?Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) use their phlebotomy and EKG (electrocardiogram) training to draw blood from patients, test their vital signs and ensure their needs are met. Medical Assistants (MAs) help physicians with triage (sorting and organizing patient treatment), blood collection and proper administration of patient information.
